So I spilled #hotsmoothie on my shirt while driving to work. Doh! I walked into the clinic and started cleaning it off while a patient walked by me and said he got toothpaste on his shirt this morning. We both laughed and felt better knowing we weren’t the only one. It felt good. It abolished the criticism in my mind. ... Now I feel peaceful. Isn’t it wonderful how the little things can be so impactful. #milton #acupuncture #notalone #thelittlethingsinlife #allconnected #burlington

Nothing is more healing that allowing yourself to authenticly be YOU: good or not so good If you know me as a patient or a friend, you’ll know that I accept ALL OF YOU. No emotion, thought or action is TABOO with me. Janet Lansbury teaches that we need to do this with our children (which I do), but more importantly we need to do this with everyone we meet. ... A supportive, bring-it-on attitude toward our children’s emotions, which ideally begins the moment they are born, encourages open communication and fosters authenticity. When we allow feelings to be released and cleared in a healthy manner, we send our kids vital messages like: 1. It’s okay to be mad, sad, frustrated, etc. Your feelings (and therefore you) are totally acceptable and valid. 2. You are capable of handling strong emotions with my support and expressing them appropriately. You can cope with age appropriate frustration, disappointment, etc. 3. Share with me. I want to know and understand you. 4. You are safe cared for by a strong, confident and capable person who can witness your most difficult emotions... http://www.janetlansbury.com//no-angry-kids-fostering-emo/

Yes, I want to know and be inspired by GOOD news. I actively avoid the news because it’s so negative and fear inducing. How about you?
