Never underestimate the power of LOVE. This guy in the photo is my brother. He has lived stuck in addiction and homeless on and off for 24 years. I never gave up on him. Something inside me during those times said, lean in! I loved him and showed up as love regardless of what was showing up externally and internally. I knew the real problem wasn’t about ‘fixing’ him or something or someone outside of me. The real work was within me this is how consciousness works. .... . The people around me including my brother and siblings have been my greatest gift and have presented me with an opportunity to do my deep inner work, a mirror. In the past, it was easy to project onto them and others thinking the problem was them when the real problem and solution was within me. Freedom!!! If you are going through a tough time right now hang in there and don’t give up. And, please don’t give up on those around you. Big important lessons are being presented to you. It is easy to walk away, and sometimes for your sanity you might need to, but don't walk away for too long. Everything outside of you is a reflection of what is going on within, an opportunity for you to do your work, to get your insides right. Get the insides right and the rest will follow. It is no exaggeration to say that every human being is hypnotized to some extent either by ideas he has uncritically accepted from others or ideas he has repeated to himself or convinced himself are true. These negative ideas have the same effect upon our behaviour as the negative ideas implanted into the mind of a hypnotized subject by a professional hypnotist.
