Please join me for an important announcement this Monday, November 9 at 11AM.
Hey @WholeFoods, a little advice here for ya... Reverse this ridiculous policy and consider making a huge donation to the @RoyalCdnLegion before whole foods becomes a whole lotta nothing soon. #WeRemember
I know that Remembrance Day is so very different this year than in years gone by, but please keep those who sacrificed everything in your thoughts today. Lest we forget. They shall not grow old, as we that are left grow old. Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning we will remember them. Laurence Binyon
If not us, then who? If not now, then when? John Lewis
Exploring the North with this beautiful crew. Our province is so spectacular.
Just in case you missed it. Please take a moment to watch the Leader of the Official Opposition Andrea Horwath discuss our plan to fix Long-term Care in Ontario and deliver the best possible care to all ageing Ontarians .
The time for change in Ontario's Long-term Care system is long overdue. https://youtu.be/4I_OrisV1EY
Back in April, we called on Doug Ford to implement a series of measures through the NDP’s Save Main Street plan. He didn’t. Businesses in our community closed, and many are still extremely worried. But this is too important to give up on. ... So today, we’re releasing an updated, expanded Save Main Street: A Plan for Jobs and Financial Security for Working People.
If you were not able to join us for our town hall, you can view the event in it's entirety here:
Please join us for our town hall meeting on the state of Long-Term Care in Ontario.
Please join us for a virtual town hall meeting to discuss long-term care on Wednesday, August 26, 2020.
Putting our children into a high-risk situation is dangerous for them, but it also puts our economic re-opening at risk. The last thing our local small businesses here need to is to plunged back into lockdown because of outbreaks at schools.
Enough is enough. People here are fed up of Ford’s broken promises and empty gestures as he continues his vanity tour of Ontario. He needs to stop campaigning, and start fixing the crisis in Windsor-Essex before more lives are lost and more businesses are destroyed.
Please support my colleague Lisa Gretzky MPP Windsor West by signing this petition to recognize essential care givers as more than just visitors for loved ones in care.
Doug Ford’s failure to test and isolate migrant farm workers has not only allowed these folks to get sick it has also forced our region’s struggling small businesses and workers to stay on lockdown even longer. Only testing 19 of 175 farms up until July 6 was a disturbing choice by the Ford government. Testing zero farms in the past 15 days is unthinkable. People, businesses and agribusinesses here need help, and Ford has abandoned them.
I have now written to the Auditor General requesting a review of the process to award a contract to a private for-profit company with close ties to Doug Ford and the Ontario PC party. Unfortunately, the Ford government doesn't seem to want to answers direct questions on this matter.
Former PC Caucus director and close Ford associate, Jeff Silverstein recently registered to lobby the Ford government on behalf of Switch Health. Switch Health (private for-profit company) was given a contract to test migrant workers shortly thereafter.
Thanks to Andrea Horwath for coming to Essex County this weekend to talk to small business owners about our #SaveMainStreet plan.
