Harvested this humongous "Puff" mushroom on my brother's property today in Eastern Ontario. It is a rare delicacy. We sliced some "steaks" off it and pan fried them in a simple butter/olive oil base, finished with a bit of salt and pepper. The steaks were light, delicate and had a sumptuous texture. It was absolutely delicious. I paired the mushroom with a classic pinot noir.
