The beautiful, well-versed 83 year old lady, fully dressed every morning at 8 am sharp, with her hair done in fashion and perfectly applied makeup, is moving to... a retirement home. Her husband recently died, which motivated her move. After many hours of patiently waiting in the hall of the home, she smiled sweetly, when told her room was ready. As she moved her walker toward the elevator, she was given a detailed description of her small room, including the curtains hanging from her window. I love it ", she said, with the enthusiasm of a 8-year-old girl who was just handed over a new pet. - Mrs. Jones; you haven't seen the room, just wait. - That doesn't matter, she replied. Happiness is something you decide over time. Whether or not I like my room doesn't depend on how the furniture is arranged, it depends on how I arrange my mind. I’ve already decided that I like it. It's a decision I make every morning when I wake up. I have the choice; I can spend the day in bed, going through the difficulty I have with my body parts that don't work, or get out of bed and be thankful for the parts that do work. Every day is a gift, and as long as my eyes open, I will focus on the new day and the happy memories I've stored just for this time in my life. HAPPINESS is like a bank account: you withdraw from it, what you deposit. So my advice would be to deposit a lot of happiness into your memory account. Remember these five simple things: 1.- Free your heart from hate/discord. 2.- Free your mind from worries. 3.- Live Simply. 4.- Give more. 5.- Take less.

This is Golden I have no idea who wrote it but it's brilliant! T’was a Month Before Christmas 2020 T’was a month before Christmas,... And all through the town, People wore masks, That covered their frown. The frown had begun Way back in the Spring, When a global pandemic Changed everything. They called it corona, But unlike the beer, It didn’t bring good times, It didn’t bring cheer. Contagious and deadly, This virus spread fast, Like a wildfire that starts When fueled by gas. Airplanes were grounded, Travel was banned. Borders were closed Across air, sea and land. As the world entered lockdown To flatten the curve, The economy halted, And folks lost their verve. From March to July We rode the first wave, People stayed home, They tried to behave. When summer emerged The lockdown was lifted. But away from caution, Many folks drifted. Now it’s November And cases are spiking, Wave two has arrived, Much to our disliking. Frontline workers, Doctors and nurses, Try to save people, From riding in hearses. This virus is awful, This COVID-19. There isn’t a cure. There is no vaccine. It’s true that this year Has had sadness a plenty, We’ll never forget The year 2020. And just ‘round the corner - The holiday season, But why be merry? Is there even one reason? To decorate the house And put up the tree, When no one will see it, No-one but me. But outside my window The snow gently falls, And I think to myself, Let’s deck the halls! So, I gather the ribbon, The garland and bows, As I play those old carols, My happiness grows. Christmas ain’t cancelled And neither is hope. If we lean on each other, I know we can cope. (Copied)

We would like to thank all of our amazing customers and members of the community who came out today to help support our fundraiser bbq. We were able to raise $1400 for the Hayward family! A special shout out to Maryjo McW-Tait and Rob Tait from Celtic Ridge for donating 8lbs of beef for burgers, you guys rock! It’s so great to see our local community pull together to help out a family going through a rough time, we couldn’t have done it without all your help!
