What your artist or studio should be doing for you!

Funny just wrapping up the mobile tattoo studio... Now more then ever, i want to travel the Philippines creating my Tattoo Documentary. Ok little catch up... Im living on beautiful Vancouver Island aboard a small yacht. A sort of live in project.... We rented a space at the local hair salon for three months but could not push myself to tattoo in an unclean environment. We then looked to open in town. Literally a doctor examination room is over 1000$ per month all in?!? So after long and detailed conversation with BC Health Services. I decided to go mobile! Guess all that RV work is still paying off! ... yet the call to travel is still nagging at my integrity!

Not sure where ive been...

We're starting to get a lot of very relevant questions on our industry opening back up to the public in the coming months. Depending on where you're located, l...egislators seem to have VERY different ideas of what is "Safe" or not and I know so many of us are struggling watching our livelihoods hang in the balance. Health Educators will be releasing new information for shops in regions that will be soon reopening on the safest practises we can consider for our industry to go back to working with the public during this time in the coming weeks. For many of us, having our governments open up the doors means even if we don't feel safe, we may lose beneficial funding for our businesses and our employees. Even if it's not safe to re-open, as is the case in many areas. We will be working on presentations to offer to provincial governments here in Canada on soft opening strategies. They will include greatly reduced studio hours, staggered scheduling for artists, virtual consultations and release forms, increased PPE, work practice controls and engineering controls. As always, our position is to beat government to the punch! We want to offer up attainable and sustainable protocol to present /before/ the government gives us their own guidelines that may not be feasible or relevant. (We know that can happen!) We'd love to hear some of your ideas as well and would be happy to hear about what you and your colleagues might hope to see in the future to stay safe in these times!
