Hey everyone! I’m really excited to announce the relaunch of my website, which is going to be way easier for everyone to navigate. In addition to a new web layout, I’ll be dropping some cozy sweaters with a new design, updated colouring pages + new high quality stickers! I want to give a quick shoutout to my friend, Jacob Scriver! He built this website into what it is now and shot all of the photos for the new merch. I am so grateful for his professional help and friendship!... Over the last few weeks, I have taken a lot of time to deeply reflect on my personal and professional actions. I have carefully considered how I can make a meaningful contribution to the Black Lives Matter movement so I can put my money where my mouth is and continue to engage in the lifelong process of being an anti-racist ally. With that being said, I will be donating 10% of every sweater purchase to the Know Your Rights campaign. This organization was founded by former NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick and the reasons I have chosen this organization for 2 reasons: 1. I have not seen it being circulated as much as the others. All are of equal importance and we must elevate and center these organizations in all of our work consistently from now on. 2. Because, even with a small donation, it still covers more than just website maintenance. It helps to provide food, covers shelter relief, education, and PPE so protesting and resistance can continue safely. Words without action is just virtue signaling. As white people, we must de-center ourselves and continually invest in the work of black speakers, authors, and creators. I realize that this work is an ongoing, lifelong process and I am completely prepared to put in the hard work. I am challenging all of you to do the same. I love you all and I am so deeply grateful for your support. It is what allows me to continue to do what I love! With that being said, I encourage you to be more conscious with your purchases and focus on diversifying the stores you frequent! Support Black artists, musicians, authors, content creators, and influencers. It is really simple to request PayPal information, remember that producing content takes work. Invest in Black excellence! Center and invest in Black voices. White supremacy is a structure that continues to perpetuate violence against Black, Latinx + Indigenous people while benefitting white people. A better future can be brought into being - it just requires hard work and consistency from those of us who benefit from these structures.
