This is our 2211 McPhillips St. location at the corner of McPhillips and Kingsbury in the Boston Pizza parking lot right behind Garden City Mall. We’ve been teaching music in the Maples/Garden City area since starting the school in 1981 and are proud to be reopening here for in-person lessons September 14. This is our main administration office and largest studio. It has 12 private lesson rooms with programs for ages 7 1/2 to adult including: 7 piano rooms, 3 guitar, 1 violi...n, 1 vocal; and 1 group classroom for our Little Mozarts program for children in grades K-2. Little Mozarts (Gr. K-2) Music Program for Young Children This program introduces a child to the popular "Piano Adventures" piano/keyboard method in a group learning environment. It's focus is on making the idea of learning music fun for a child while developing proper keyboard playing skills. It also helps prepare a child for private lessons that can be taken when they're a bit older. This is a great option for most children and families looking for a fun but well structured... musical activity and program. All supplies needed for this program will be issued at no extra charge at the beginning of the year to each student, including books, pencils, crayons, etc.... as well as a complimentary face shield; face masks will also be available for students who forget to bring their own Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). A free keyboard rental is also included, if you don't already have something suitable at home for your child to practice. Our music school has custom built these portable plexiglass shields for all our private music lesson rooms to provide an extra layer of protection between teacher and student in addition to whatever face coverings are being worn for the lesson. The shields are on wheels and can be easily positioned where required in the classroom, and some are height adjustable for instruments that require students to stand while playing.
