All ready to go for week 2! It was so great to see everyone last week! As we had mentioned before, we will be starting off very gradually over the next several weeks and adding more hours as we progress. Thank you to everyone for your patience and for your support during our re-opening! As always, if you have any concerns or if you are in need of urgent care, please reach out to me at [email protected] or call the clinic to book your appointment 705-739-9585. Have a lovely week!

As we gradually re-open, several new procedures will be put into place in order to protect the health care providers and patients. Here are some details regarding these new procedures and a description of what appointments will look like for the next while. . . . I will begin by working shorter and fewer shifts in order to reduce the number of in-person visits and I will be seeing patients on an essential care basis. . . . Please arrive as close as you can to the time... of your appointment. Upon arrival to the office, we ask that you please wait in your car to inform us that you have arrived. We will then do some over-the-phone pre-screening and either tell you to come right in, or ask you to wait briefly while we finish up with another patient and sanitize the area before you come in. . . . Patients must sanitize their hands upon entering and exiting the clinic, and bring an appropriate mask that must be worn at all times (cloth or surgical/procedure masks). Cloth masks may be purchased a the front desk if you do not have a mask readily available to you. . . . As always, rooms will be sanitized thoroughly between every patient, however, we are now scheduling more time between appointments to ensure that we are being extra thorough. Your RMT will also be wearing appropriate personal protective equipment throughout your entire appointment and has received additional health and safety training in order to help to keep patients safe. . . . We ask that ONLY the person who is receiving treatment enters the building. Leaving spouses and children at home will help to reduce exposure for everyone involved. . . . In order to ensure your safety, restrooms will be closed at this time. . . . As always we are happy to offer direct billing for most insurance plans. When necessary, please pay using credit/debit tap. Receipts will be emailed. . . . Thank you again for your patience while we implement these new procedures. If there are any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me. I look forward to seeing you! See more

Hello everyone! As some of you may have heard, RMTs have been given updated orders from the government allowing us to gradually return to practice on an essential care basis meaning that more urgent cases will be prioritized for booking. . . . I will be contacting patients on a case-by-case basis in the coming days to ensure that those who are in need of urgent care are prioritized for booking (specifically those who have had appointments cancelled in the last two months).... I will begin to take appointments as of June 15th, 2020 once all guidelines have been followed, precautions have been put into place and patients have been contacted. . . . This gradual restart requires that many safety protocols are put in place to protect both the patient and the therapist before re-opening This includes: pre-screening of patients use of personal protective equipment mandatory training for RMTs increased sanitary measures signage, etc . . . Over the next couple of weeks, I will be preparing my treatment space for these new changes to ensure that we will have a seamless transition. We will inform all patients of precautions that we will be taking and how treatments will work from now on before your next appointment. Stay tuned for a post about what future appointments will look like! . . . CMTO has recommended that RMTs limit the number of in-person visits for the safety of our healthcare providers and their patients. For this reason, I will be starting with fewer and shorter shifts in the office on Monday, Wednesday and Saturdays. It is recommended that patients book if they are in need of urgent care. Massage Therapy treatment should only be provided when the anticipated benefits of treatment outweigh the risks to the patient and the RMT, and if the patient's overall health or function would considerably decline if they were not to receive treatment (i.e leading to hospitalization or other serious health consequences). . . . We ask that you please be patient with us as we navigate through these new guidelines that we must follow. Thank you for your support and please reach out if you have any questions or concerns! Looking forward to seeing you! See more

The anxiety and uncertainty surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic has made getting a good night’s sleep more difficult for many people. Massage therapy can help yo...u get more sleep and better quality sleep but in the meantime, while you can’t visit your RMT right now, there are some things you can do to get into a better sleeping routine.
