It's Day 6 of 30 Days of September Massive Action for Health. How are you doing taking MASSIVE ACTION? . Today's task to "Drink 2L minimum water a day". WATER......the MOST IMPORTANT nutrient needed for your body. Without water...you will die. Period. End of life. . IMPORTANT FACTS: You can survive long periods of time without the other macronutrients - carbohydrates, proteins, fats, and the micronutrients - vitamins, minerals, enzymes, etc. You won't be overly healthy but you can survive. You CANNOT survive more than a few days without water, even less in a hot climate/environment. Dehydration sets in very quickly and your body deteriorates quickly. . So, making sure you are drinking enough water each day, and limiting the amount of alcohol, caffeine, and sugar, which are all dehydrating, will keep your body functioning well. WATER IS LITERALLY...LIFE! Check out the attached for all that water is needed for...and DRINK UP. . Tomorrow I will share more tips to help you drink more water each day and know the signs of dehydration. Remember, if you need some help or guidance with any of the daily tasks, just ask. It's Day 3 of 30 Days of September Massive Action for Health. How are you doing taking MASSIVE ACTION? I feel great...how about you? Remember, if you need some help or guidance with any of the daily tasks, just ask. Leave a comment or send a private DM . Today we're focusing on the task "Get SUN daily" and that's an easy one, especially with the glorious sunshine we are blessed with right now here on the West Coast of Canada. ... . I call it the Sunshine Vitamin because it has soooo many health benefits, and it takes as little as 10-15 minutes a day soaking up the rays: * boosts serotonin, a chemical in the brain, increases your energy and helps keep you calm, positive, and focused * triggers production of vitamin D (where the term sunshine vitamin comes from) which protects against inflammation, lowers blood pressure, helps muscles function optimally, and improves brain function * has a huge impact on depression, seasonal affective disorder (SAD), brain disorders and diseases, and sleep quality * can even promote weight loss as it entices you to get outside and enjoying more fun activities like walking, hiking, water sports, biking and friendly games of your favourite sports * boosts immune system with increase in vitamin D and T cells that help fight infection * better bone health, again from increased vitamin D which increases absorption of calcium * can help heal skin and disorders from boosted immune system . So the Sunshine Vitamin is important to our health and we need a little every day. . Just remember the precautions, to avoid sunburn and heat exhaustion and heat stroke: . * limit sun exposure during the hottest times of the day between 10am and 3pm and keep your skin protected with sunscreen and cover up with light, loose, breathable clothing and a hat to let air circulate and heat escape, and wear good quality sunglasses * keep yourself well hydrated by drinking a minimum of 2 liters (8 cups) of water each day and more on very hot days and if you are sweating alot. Drink plenty of fluids but avoid beverages that contain alcohol, caffeine or a lot of sugar, which can be dehydrating * avoid intense outdoor work, exercise and play on hot days and during the hottest time 10am-3pm See more

It's Day 2 of 30 Days of September Massive Action for Health. I've already started taking MASSIVE ACTION, how about you? Remember, if you need some help or guidance with any of the daily tasks, just ask. Leave a comment or send a private DM :-) . If you missed yesterday's post, I've attached it again, the daily tasks to focus on for September. SHARE with your FB friends and COMMENT that you're joining us. Let's do this...together. .... Each day I will post tips on one of the health improving tasks. Today I decided to focus on "Meditate Daily for 10 Minutes" simply because alot of people don't do it. They think it's either too "woo woo", they don't know how, they don't understand the benefits, or think they don't have time. . Um, let me just say that if you're one of those people who think you don't have time for 10 minutes of daily meditation...you need to be meditating for an hour daily! . With relaxation and reducing stress the main science-based benefits of meditation, EVERYONE should include it daily. Reducing stress and anxiety, creating inner calmness, improving emotional health, generating kindness and empathy...in these crazy days of Covid-19...we ALL NEED TO BE MEDITATING! . Meditation can be as simple as sitting in a quite place and focusing on deep breathing for a couple of minutes. Or it can be a much longer, more focused practice using guided meditation. There are many apps for your phone, websites, YouTube videos, programs, from beginner basic to advanced and everything in-between. There's something for everyone to include some meditation daily. . One of my favourite ways to meditate is to go outside, be one with nature, feel the sunshine vitamin, sit comfortably, eyes closed, ear buds in (using my phone's playlist), deep belly breathing, while listening to Devi Prayer. On days when the weather isn't cooperating, I choose a comfortable spot indoors, add a few drops of lavender essential oil to my diffuser, and feel the words reaching deep into my soul. Have a listen...breathe...relax...and feel the calmness and peace envelop you. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ma5NJ3ucV4M See more

Wow. Just. Wow. Why would a credit card company, waste money and time (and paper), sending me a credit card statement with a $0 balance, on a credit card I ...havent used in a really long time?? Perhaps to remind me I have credit, at 20.9% interest, during a time when alot of people are unemployed, struggling, and need money? SHAME ON YOU (bank to be unnamed to protect myself from criminals). But shame on any financial institution that is preying on Canadians, to make money, during this very challenging time.

Cant say enough good things about Dr. Ben Lynch and Seeking Health. His book "Dirty Genes" is helping me heal from antibiotic poisoning so I know if it can help my damaged body, it can help anyones! I just wish there was a Canadian retailer. The US$$, shipping and customs fees make the products pricey but for me its worth it to feel better, and function better. Follow Dr. Lynch on FB and IG, really great info!
