Made it to the zone performance mental training goalie seminar with one of my goalies #playoutofyourmind

My goalies and I have had the pleasure of working with Pete Fry. I am really looking forward to attending this seminar. What Pete and John teach is completely in line with the Philosophies that are taught at TMGA. Many of their teachings have helped me not only while playing goal, teaching my young goalies, but in life in general. I think this seminar would be a huge benefit to any goalie looking to better understand themselves, and their process. Who wants to join me at the seminar, DM for more details.

GOALIES. This is a tough minute, but a vital lesson for us all. _____________________ One bad game does not define your career, nor does it nullify all the hard... work and sacrifice you put in to an entire season. Struggling in a big game happens to everyone sooner or later nobody is above the chaos, crazy bounces, and momentum swings of hockey. So we say good on Devan Dubnyk for showing his competitive fire by staying glued to his net until Alex Stalock gets to the top of the circle. Even when all hope is lost, even when you’re burned to a crisp by a superior team, you fight for what’s yours, you NEVER give up. Hold your head high and prove to your teammates and yourself that you’re not ashamed to take responsibility for the loss. Embrace whatever mental and emotional grind will come as a result, because if you really care, it won’t be easy. For as the Goalie Code has told us a million times before, We all must fall to rise again. See more

In other news, the sky is blue and water is wet! Every team’s key will be how their goalie performs in the playoffs.

Great article about what a starting goalie goes through down the stretch drive into the playoffs.

We forget sometimes that we are not coaching goalies, but people who happen to play goal. There is nothing like the hockey family when it comes to supporting each other through hard times. It does not matter what color each of our jerseys are. We are all hockey players.

I always tell everyone who coaches will me to follow this rule. I try my best to always follow it as well. Catch them doing somthing good. The results are so much greater. Raise them up, don't tear them down.
