What a beautiful early September day to stroll along the Tay River Pathway. The wide pathway is an easy walk and totally accessible. Thanks to the Lanark County employees who have maintained it, and trimmed the grass on either side of the path. Wild Parsnip is very evident, but a safe distance away. Thanks to the Lanark County employees who have maintained it, and trimmed the grass on either side of the path. Wild Parsnip is very evident, but a safe distance away. Lots of space for social distancing. At the end of your stroll, don't forget to visit the ... "Round Garden For The Blind" in front of the county building. Beautiful flowers and descriptions of them both written and in Braille. See more

As fall slowly approaches, what better time to meander down to the river. The temperature is perfect and the colors are amazing.

A visit from a community member reminded us that the pathway isn't just for a lovely summer day... well, as long as you aren't on wheels!

Beautiful sunny crisp day for a stroll along the path. Only -15 but very sunny. The pathway appears to be well used as we followed others footprints to the river. Enjoy the walk.

Members of this wonderful group helped us with the pathway build! Read all about their good work in their interview with CBC.

Today, Jason Munro of True Briton's Lodge No. 14 came by the pathway for a tour and presented us with $10,000 toward the completion of the pathway! Grateful doesn't even begin to describe it. And that's not all! They have pledged another $10,000 to be used for phase two - the completion of the parkland in behind Lanark Lodge and Perth Community Care Centre. The continuation of the project will be taken over by the Lanark County Municipal Trails Corporation. Very exciting!

Nicole Valois, Dianne Czerwinski and Gerald (Jerry) Johnson on our new viewing deck. Jerry is a Sales Representative for RE/MAX Absolute Realty Inc. Not only did he through his business donate $880 toward our beautiful benches, he managed to have them delivered to us on August 30th when the earliest possible delivery date was September 19th. Thanks Jerry! Jerry and Nicole have recently moved to Lanark. We welcome them to our community!

Last evening Jaime McMurtry, Customer Operations Manager from the Perth office of Hydro One Networks Inc. came to the Lanark County Council meeting to do a cheque presentation. We received a $10,000 grant through their Safe Communities program. This contribution has truly helped us make the pathway a dream come true.
