Last month one of the projects I completed was a roof, cladding and carpentry job in Alder Flats at the Spirits of The West liquor store. One of the things I offer is the ability for the homeowner to work with me and in this case that meant the 16 year old daughter. I have to tell you I was blown away with this young woman. She worked with me 8 hours on the roof the first day, stripping and hauling and moving bundles around (at 80lbs each). Not once did she lose focus or miss... an opportunity to help and learn nor did she complain about heat or being tired. She even went as far as to only stop for breaks when I did and for the time I took. For me on a normal day I do not stop even to eat so it may have been good as it forced me to stop for a lunch. I had no choice when on day 2 she arrived ready to go again it was time for her to learn how to shingle. For 8 hours she worked hard and stayed focused shingling with a roofing gun and did an excellent job. At the end of the day this young lady said "I like roofing". I love roofing, it is a passion of mine and to be able to pass on a little of that to someone so eager to learn was such a pleasure. This experience was one I will never forget and I know that with the level of focus, determination and willingness to work hard this young woman has a bright future ahead of her in whatever she chooses to pursue.

Well July has been a very productive month indeed. I have completed some roofs, cladding jobs, skirting jobs and an interior water damage remediation after repairing the roof. I also got to complete a deck and a few around the farm projects this month. Here are some photos of these jobs.

It has been a while since I posted an update and the good news is it is because I am busy. A few of the projects I have completed in the last few weeks include: a soffit and fascia job, a flooring; tile and baseboard installation which included a full tear out of the sub floor and a roof.
