The Quarantine Act is still in effect so travellers MUST, by law, self-isolate for 14 days once returning to Canada That means go straight home, no stops! A ...negative COVID-19 test does NOT mean you can discontinue self-isolation. You are still required to self-isolate until the full 14 days have passed as the virus can still be developing. Monitor your health and call if symptoms appear. For more COVID-19 travel guidance, check out https://www.tbdhu.com/travel
Do you have your camera ready? We're expecting some C-17 training exercises this evening from our friends at CFB Trenton between 18:30 and 19:30. (Be advised sometimes they make last minute changes to their plans!)... Happy plane watching!
As provinces reopen and restrictions ease, please be aware that if you're planning your summer travel, many provinces and regions still have travel restrictions in place. The below map has been colour coded to show you the travel restrictions of each province: Keep up to date with the below map by visiting our COVID Response page on our website - http://www.tbairport.on.ca/page/covid-19-tbiaa-response The map will be updated weekly*... If you're planning on travelling this summer please remember: - If you feel sick or have any symptoms, even if mild, isolate immediately and call the local health unit - Avoid crowded places and keep at least 2 meters (6 feet) from others; wear a mask when this isn't possible. - Avoid high touch surfaces and clean hands often - Limit to groups of 10 or less and visit outdoors if possible - Check travel guidance specific to your destination by visiting the provinces website or by contacting their local health authorities, *Note that travel is allowed to Manitoba if you are a resident of NWO or any Western provinces. Outside of NWO you must self-isolate for two weeks upon arrival into Manitoba*
You have probably heard that travel restrictions have loosened! This is great news for some and scary news for others. If you are feeling nervous about people t...ravelling again, try to keep in mind that you can only control your own actions and take comfort in knowing that many public health measures are still in place to keep the community safe. It is ok to travel and it is ok to stay home, but keep up good COVID-19 practices no matter what you chose to do! Learn how to stay safe while traveling: https://www.tbdhu.com/travel
Did you happen to look up today? It's always an awe inspiring feeling seeing the C17 Globemaster III up close and personal when it arrives at the airport. From 429 Wing, CFB Trenton.
If you’re thinking about travelling this summer, please know that with COVID-19 still circulating at different levels around the province, the safest options ar...e to stay in the area of your home community or to stay in the region. If you choose to travel, here are steps to keep yourself and others safe: Always practice the usual personal protective measures such as physical distancing, wearing a mask when that isn’t possible, and frequent hand hygiene. See https://www.tbdhu.com/physicaldistancing Don’t travel if you, or someone you are traveling with, have any symptoms or feel sick. Please call us and we will support you to get tested. Monitor yourself for symptoms when you travel and when you return. If you get symptoms, even if mild, isolate where you are and seek assessment and testing. Check travel advisories for destination(s) as there may be variation between provinces and communities. Visit websites of provincial governments, local health units or other authorities for the latest information. *self-isolation is no longer required upon return to NW Ontario for travel within Canada
