Teachers and parents - here's a great classroom or family activity inspired by I FOUND HOPE IN A CHERRY TREE that's perfect for the holiday season! These Finnis...h or Carolina snowflakes can be made from strips of paper and look beautiful displayed in a collection. Instructions and other activities related to the book can be found on my website at: https://www.jeanependziwol.com/ You can also use basket reed (1/4 inch works well) and fasten the strips together using a glue gun. These can then be spray painted any colour you choose, but also look great left natural. "Sometimes the snowflakes toss and tumble and arrive icy and sharp to prickle my cheeks and freeze my nose. But still they taste like clouds." Groundwood Books
