Thanks to The Western Thoroughbred for showcasing the partnership of Alberta bred gelding Spotted Charm and Cati McArthur! The six year old Charming Assassin gelding was bred by Roy McClintock and ran at Northlands in 2015 before moving on to a successful new career in rodeo. #ABBredsrock #lovemyottb

#ThoroughbredThursday Feature: Everyone meet Bold Hope, an Ontario bred gelding by multiple stakes winner Bold Executive and out of Cozzall, by Cozzene. His ...pedigree also includes Bold Ruckus, Victoria Park, and Northern Dancer. He made 20 starts, won four races, and earned over $91,000 on the track. His four wins were at Fort Erie and Woodbine. Hope was one of trainer Darwin Banach’s favorite horses. He was also known as Dopey Hopey because he was always napping! After Hope made his final start in December of 2018, Darwin’s cousin Duane Fischer came to visit and picked him up for his wife Tanya Fischer. Tanya barrel races with her other OTTB gelding Brother Duster and has started Hope on the barrel pattern too. She began entering him in July and he is already placing in the 3D! We are excited to see what they will accomplish in the future! If you would like to see your Thoroughbred featured on our page, send us a message! Please include your horse's Jockey Club name and favorite photos. Note that horses with a body condition score of 3 or less will not be posted. #OTTBwestern #BoldHope #OTTB See more

There's just something about looking at a field of Thoroughbreds that makes people happy! Retired people and retired Thoroughbreds seems like a great combination.
