During an inspection of a log built facility recently at a local ski resort I found the following. The rear of the structure was up against a slope. The exterio...r of the log structure was covered with plywood to protect against the snow pack. I pulled back a section of the plywood to find significant rot in some of the logs. This rot is not easily repairable especially due to location of the affected area and the logistics of the repair. This will be a substantial cost to the homeowners to repair.
