The TCMHI recognizes many Trinity students have been experiencing unprecedented levels of anxiety during the COVID-19 global pandemic. One concern may be about finding a summer job and paying tuition in September. This morning, the Prime Minister announced the new Canada Emergency Student Benefit. For any students who are wondering how they will pay rent, cover costs, or afford tuition next fall, we encourage you to look over options available for you. Incoming 2T4s, current... students and graduating students are all eligible for this benefit. "Right now, you might be worried about how to make ends meet. You probably can’t work your normal job, and that might be a big problem for rent or groceries. So, we’re bringing in the Canada Emergency Student Benefit to help," Trudeau says. "With this Benefit, you will get $1,250 a month from May to August." If you take care of someone else or have a disability that amount will go up to $1,750 each month.
