The TDChristian Food Druve resulted in just under 500 pounds of food being delivered to the Good Shepherd Centre in Hamilton, one of our Family Studies service partners. Thanks to the many of you who helped make this happen!

As the end of Quad 1 approaches, more projects appear. Outside the STEM Space are two display tables filled with Grade 9 and 10 student work. The one highlighted on the first slide is a swan carefully formed using no glue. It sits on a custom-made wood cutting board.

Tonight’s Fall Open House carefully structured for safety, with many who joined via livestream, was a great way for prospective students and their families to find out more about how we at TDChristian enfold, engage, and empower students to learn for service in the light of God’s Word.

In good news, we've had a lot of people sign up for tonight's in person or thru Zoom open house. In bad news, we've had a lot of people sign up. If you have not already RSVP'd and booked your time through Schoolinterviews.ca, we can't guarantee we can accommodate you if you just show up tonight. If you call us at 905-851-1772 ext. 200 before 4 pm today, we can see when we can get you in or give you the Zoom link for the online version. Of course, we can always give you and your family a safe, private tour whenever it's convenient for you. In that case, email VP Admissions Patty Schuurman at [email protected].

This year’s Reebops have been created. They’re related to the same original DNA. The Grade 11 Biology class performed the experiment as part of its Genetics unit. It’s amazing to see in this experiment using marshmallows how God through his creative powers makes everyone unique. And, that through such learning students may be inspired and prepared to do great work in their lives as they serve God and others.

Earth and Space Science students have been working with and learning about rocks. A grad from last year came to help and also show students how to break and form rock into useful pieces for tools.

We, at TDChristian High School, hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend. For the remainder of this week, please bring in food for the Good Shepherd Center. Let’s fill the back of a pick up truck so that our partner in Hamilton has the most it can get in one trip.

Can’t be all together? No problem, some of our grade 12 art students made Thanksgiving Day greeting cards.

It’s the Thanksgiving Weekend! Praise God. As you journey along your paths, we hope that they may lead you to our doors. Fall Open House is Oct. 22 at 6:30 p.m. Come this year or next, VP Admissions, Ms. Schuurman, as you can see will be here to greet you (if you make an appointment). Our next Quadmester begins on November 13.

Students continue to work diligently as the quadmester approaches the midway point. Projects, tests, and assignments are all part of learning for service in the light of God’s Word.
