Makeup Monday: Instagram vs. Reality We always suggest bringing inspiration photos to your trial so that your makeup artist can visualize what you are looking for! BUT keep in mind, sometimes the photos you find on Pinterest or Instagram can be photo shopped! Makeup can accent, counteract and even give an illusion but here is what it can’t do: - Hide skin texture: We all have texture to our skin and that is normal!! The goal is to even your skin tone, add color and bring ou...t the best in your features! But keep a realistic idea in mind of what makeup can achieve for you. Skin texture is most often removed during the photo editing process, it is not removed during your makeup application! - Change your skin tone: Your foundation will be mixed to match your face and neck to ensure a seamless application! Your artist cannot make you lighter or darker than what you currently are. They can of course add contour, bronzer and highlighter but just know that they cannot alter your natural skin tone! We have amazing access to beautiful and creative photos right at our finger tips but don’t let it alter your reality! Skin texture is normal, all skin tones are beautiful and you are unique !
