If you like /love the feel of your home just before guests arrive at your door loose papers, advertising mail, notes to family tidied away. The frig, stove, microwave, dishwasher all wiped down and shiny. Floors washed, no footmarks on those hardwood floors. Flowers in a vase. The lawn mowed, cars washed! How do you feel? I feel free, everything is conquered. Smiling! Like the queen you are! But I usually don’t get that far!... If you are like me when a guest is coming over too soon. I shove STUFF into that one room where I shove STUFF, I don’t know what to do with it. With everything in order, everything clean, everyone smiling, excited to see the guests, it looks like I have everything together. Perfect! On the other side of the coin That feeling I get when my house is a mess, is the heart feeling I feel when there is just way too much going on around me. lack of physical order with chaos in the home feeling of chaos when I see my kids leaving all their stuff, lying around just can’t keep up with all my responsibilities, when I’m trying to do everything and feels like no one cares and is helping me I can get heart feelings of bitterness, resentment, and anger towards everyone else which is horrible. It distances me from the rest of my family questions around schooling my family feel this aggravation from me and it doesn’t bring harmony the home doesn’t feel peaceful and that is not what I want. hearing and seeing all the news of what is going on around the world and in my own country. Uncertainty with Covid-19 and sending kids to school or keeping them home With so much on our minds, it is harder to focus on our families. And feeling like we are doing it the right way This is the normality of many homes and hearts, now-a-days. Raise your hand if that is you too.
