As sellers, we sometimes are so used to our own space, that we don't realize how our home comes across to others. Make sure you are not making any of these seller faux pas. 1. Your house smells bad. Your house needs to smell clean, so do everything you can to make that happen before you list.... 2. Your pets have ruined things. Clean up & repair any pet damage and do your best to keep signs of pets minimal while your house is for sale. 3. Your clutter stresses people out. Clean it up. Get rid of it. Box it up. Put it away. Out of sight, out of mind. 4. No-one wants to imagine you using the bathroom. Clear out all signs of life, get it really clean and leave out just a few styled decorations on the counter. 5. Your messy closet makes people feel overwhelmed. Remove as much as you can (seasonal clothes can be packed away, time to donate things you’ve been meaning to, etc), line up clothes by color, keep shelves neat and clear the floor completely. 6. Being in your personal spaces is uncomfortable for people. Make your most personal spaces as neutral and comfortable for strangers as possible. 7. Your messy yard makes people think you don’t take care of your house. Tidy the yard fully to make a great first impression and set the tone for how you care for your home, inside and out. 8. The kids toys and little things being all over makes people want to tidy your house up. It’s worth your time to reduce the amount of kids’ toys and clutter you have out and visible when you house is listed. 9. Your dirty laundry are gross to people. Put your laundry away in closets or baskets with some kind of cover. 10. All people really want is a clean slate. What a year it has been! Navigating through such unprecedented times has been tough for everyone. As we begin a second Lockdown in Saugeen Shores, we want you all to know that we will be doing our best to continue with our jobs as Realtors while maintaining safety within our community. As we know from the previous Lockdown, Real Estate is considered an essential service. This means that we can continue to operate our business in regions under lockdown provided that we foll...ow the direction of public health officials. This means: 1. Technology is our friend! We understand that we are in a critical time of the management of the COVID-19 pandemic. Case counts continue to rise in many regions across our province and hospital resources are being stretched quite thin. The last time winter solstice fell on December 23 was in 1903, and it won’t happen again until 2303. Tonight brings the longest night of the year, along with the opportunity to watch a rare celestial occurrence.... Jupiter and Saturn will appear so near each another in the sky that they seem to touch. Their conjunction hasn't come this close since 1226.

Have to say, this would have been an agent's dream listing back in the day!

It’s getting colder and colder as the days go by! My hubby drove me to Walkerton today so that I could present an offer in person. My Buyers were up against 2 other offers and I think, that in cases like that, it is always good to put a 'face' to the family that I am representing. So far, so good; we were successful! On the way home, we had a candy cane hot chocolate which hit the spot. Attainable Housing Public meeting

This Saturday, November 28th is Saugeen Shores’ first ‘reverse’ Parade! It will feature a stationary display of floats as spectators drive-thru to view them. During the Parade, the Rotary Club of Port Elgin will be located on Bruce Street and will be collecting donations for the local food bank.
