AIRSOFT CANADA SNIPER CERTIFICATION CLINIC Presented by Direwolves Airsoft Team and Blackline Simulations Saturday, March 14th 2020 | 7:30am 11:30am Cost :... $39.95+tax (event capped at 20 shooters) The Airsoft Canada Sniper Certification Clinic is designed to provide players with the required skills and knowledge required to use a bolt action rifle safely at higher velocities. Topics to be covered will include 1. Safety rules / MEDs (minimum engagement distances) 2. Legal considerations with airsoft. 3. Ghillie construction 4. Zeroing 5. Basic marksmanship 6. How to use a compass 7. How to use MGRS 8. How to estimate range 9. Range estimation exercise MICHEAL BRIGHT | HEAD INSTRUCTOR Michael is a certified instructor for the Airsoft Canada Sniper Clinic. Michael has been involved in airsoft for 6 years. He has captained the Direwolves Airsoft Team for 5 of those years. Over the last 3 years he has been steadily building his knowledge of sniping with heavy emphasis on stalking and the use of camouflage. In addition to leading the Direwolves and participating in Blackline Simulations events Michael is working to bring Hunteering, a sniper vs sniper style of gameplay, to Canada. CRAIG EMBRO | ASSISTANT INSTRUCTOR Craig has his level 3 Airsoft Canada Sniper Certification and he has been involved in airsoft for nearly 20 years. Craig served with the Royal Highland Fusiliers of Canada for nearly 7 years. He is also a Canadian firearm owner and possess both his PAL and RPAL, and is a member of the Canadian Collation for Firearm Rights (CCFR). The designated marksman and sniper roles have struck closest to home for him. Apart airsoft and firearms training, Craig is also a father to two young boys; ages 8 and 4. In the near future he hopes to instil in them the same sense of training, responsibility, and community that he has experienced through airsoft. SEAN ABRUTHNOT | ASSISTANT INSTRUCTOR Sean has been involved with airsoft for 20 years. He has also spent time in the Vietnam War reenactment community. Currently he is the owner and operator of Blackline Simulations. A production company that puts on highly immersive military and espionage based events. Sean is also an avid outdoorsman who spends considerable time hiking and camping. Airsoftc3 is the future of social media for airsoft. It's a platform made for airsofters, by other airsofters.

Have you noticed that sites like Facebook are making it harder and harder to discuss airsoft online? Photos get banned, links to websites that sell airsoft gear... get banned, talk of buying or selling airsoft guns gets banned. Facebook won’t even take ad money from fields or shops trying to promote their business. Little by little Facebook is suppressing our freedom of expression, and it’s not just Facebook. Instagram, which is owned by Facebook, Google, and YouTube all have similar policies. Why? The bottom line is big tech companies don’t want to be associated with guns, including airsoft. They don’t want airsoft related content or conversations anywhere on their platforms. But there’s something even more sinister at play. If they can prevent airsoft companies from selling products, those companies will eventually go out of business. Without businesses to run fields and innovate new gear, the industry and the entire airsoft community will collapse. This is their end goal, and they’ll achieve it by slowly restricting airsoft content and discussion under the guise of community safety. We can fight this though by creating an independent community for airsoft, one that isn’t controlled by these tech giants. Last week, the AirsoftC3 team met with the leading manufacturers and retailers in airsoft; Airsoft Evike.com, Airsoft Station, Xtreme Airsoft, LLC, KWA Performance Industries, Inc., Elite Force, Valken Airsoft, Redwolf Airsoft, Overwatch tactics, American MilSim, Milsim Media, Enola Gaye USA, Team ASG and many, many others to share with them our vision of an independent social network for the airsoft community. We received an overwhelming level of support from these companies who have agreed to help us recapture our sport’s freedom and independence from Facebook and others. Creating a successful online community for airsoft isn't up to us. It's not even up to the companies within the industry. It's up to you, the player. If you want a place where you explore fields, sign up for events, watch gameplay and buy/sell/trade, come join us. This David and Goliath battle will not be won over night, it will take time, but it’s worth fighting for. You know what the beauty is? It’s an easy fight to win.
