We lost a brother today. RIP There are things that no one knows police officers struggle with every day. Seeing things no human being should have to see. Going into the darkest of the darkness that mankind offers. Sometimes it gets the best of us. And once in awhile it feels like too much to handle and there is no way past the pain so we take matters into our own hands. There are so many factors that it is impossible to understand each members unique and individual circums...tances. One thing is certain...feeling free to express that darkness openly is a massive step to working through. Unfortunately there is still a stigma attached to admitting you struggle when you wear the badge. Blame yourself...and read to the end for a surprise! There is no one to blame for your challenges but yourself. You cannot control other people’s actions but you can choose your response. The first hurdle to getting past your struggle is to take responsibility and realize it’s not somebody else’s fault. You may have had very little input into the situation that did not turn out favourably, but you made decisions that put you in that place at that time. Now, how you respond is... the next very powerful step. Their paycheque typically is a slow moving vehicle that cannot get them there so they change their dreams to fit that vehicle. So why not get out of that slow moving vehicle and get into an appropriate supercharged transport to get you where you want to go? If you want to get to Hawaii, you can’t get there in your car.
