Congratulations to my electoral opponent Ed Fast on his victory last night. He is a fine public servant and I have no doubt he will once again serve the people of Abbotsford well. Further congrats are to be extended to all who ran in this riding for a hard-fought, but ultimately clean, race. Heads are to be held high today, folks. This pic was from an event this past March where, by coincidence, Ed and I were sat next to each other for dinner. He jokingly asked if it was OK for a Conservative to eat with a Liberal. I assured him it was. I told him this pic might come in handy someday. And here we are.

The gent on the right pulled his car over to hop out and shake our hands when he saw us knocking doors today. "You've got a lot of guts!" he told me. It's easy to have guts when you have a team like ours. I mean, he's talking to my dad in this pic--you know, the guy who flew 7000 kilometers to help the campaign!
