For those who don’t do kata, who put it down, I’m telling you straight up, educate yourself. For fighters, your window for competing is very small, your window ...for training in REAL traditional martial arts is wide open. It will improve your skills, balance, coordination, timing, speed, strength, muscle memory and a better understanding of what you are doing. But it is a lot of work and time consuming, put in the time to learn it and you will probably train a lot longer. One other thing, fighters shadow box, kata , but Martial kata is much more than that, also studying kata, practicing it’s BUNKAI, will make you just that much better. See more
