Final Superleague Round Robin Game Skanes (10-2) v. Rowsell (7-5)

We’re thrilled that the government has approved the Tankard provincial championships for next week! A Purple Heart and a Brier berth are officially on the line! It’s a testament to the people of our province that we can compete in this event right now to determine our representative for the Brier when so many other areas in Canada are in lockdown and really struggling with COVID-19. We can’t wait to get to work next week in an 8 team round robin. Stay tuned for lots of updates and stream as the week gets underway. We have no doubt that by the end of the week our front end, who we call the Bunk Bros (due to their suboptimal sleeping arrangement for a Halifax spiel earlier this fall) will be needing a nap once again!

Despite our back end in particular being in a mental fog from a ton of work this week, we played extremely well this afternoon and defeated Team McNeil Lamswood to move to 10-2 in the RE/MAX Centre - Home of the St. John's Curling Association Superleague. This guarantees us a first place finish in the round robin regardless of our final game results this Tuesday. We’re looking forward to the playoffs! After something like 8 weeks of scratching and clawing with Team McNeil Lamswood for first place of the RE/MAX Centre - Home of the St. John's Curling Association Superleague, we have edged out in front as we improve to 9-2 with a solid win over Team Peddigrew! A huge match coming up against Team McNeil Lamswood this Sunday afternoon with only two games left in the Superleague schedule.
