Team Steffler

Time for an update. Team Steffler played one, yes, one game so far this season, October 14. Our home club has been in modified restriction since then, opened only for practice ice. While we appreciate practice time, it's just not the same thing. Now, sadly the club is temporarily closed again. Things are in limbo for the remainder of the season. Stay safe everyone, until we play again...

We played our first game of the season last night and happy to report it’s in the W column. We want to thank the Board, volunteers, Jim and Lynda at Unionville Curling Club for making it possible for us to get back on the ice and do what we love. The safety protocols are top notch and we had no issues with playing the game under the distancing rules.

Throwback Thursday to our big wins in 2017 YRAA Champions and Ontario Schoolboy Champions. Although the news surrounding men's 2020-21 competitive season isn't great, we do have some exciting news: we're registered for Men's competitive play at our home club (Unionville Curling Club). Fingers crossed we'll be back on the ice this Fall!

That's it folks. No summer curling in our neck of the woods. We are not sure when or if we can launch into our first year of Men's curling. Really makes you realize how much you love and miss the game when you can't play.

For the safety of ourselves and our families, we have decided to pull out of the Oakville Summer League this season. Not happy about it. Hopeful for the rest of the season. Stay safe everyone.
