TeamUP Science 16.01.2021

The 2021 Medical Science Workshop (MSW) hosted by TeamUP Science invites high school and university students to explore the different characteristics, expertise, and techniques of the many medical sciences. MSW is an online event that will last approximately 5 hours. Participants will get a chance to interact with current students in medical professions and be encouraged to engage in critical thinking during the medical science stations. This year, MSW will be incorporating a... competitive aspect to the workshop where participants will get a chance to win prizes! The cost for MSW this year is $6.32 per ticket. We will be hosting 4 sessions as follows: 8:30am - 1:30pm MST on Saturday, February 6, 2021. 1:30pm - 6:30pm MST on Saturday, February 6, 2021. 8:30am - 1:30pm MST on Sunday, February 7, 2021. 1:30pm - 6:30pm MST on Sunday, February 7, 2021. TeamUP Science 05.01.2021

The 2021 Interdisciplinary Science Competition (ISC) hosted by TeamUP Science will be happening virtually from February 20-21, 2021 starting at 9am each day! Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we have converted our event to an entirely online format. This year, students will be participa...ting in virtual labs consisting of Physiology, Organic Chemistry and Computer science concepts throughout the weekend long event with a partner. Additionally, students will be invited to participate in several virtual workshops to learn about other scientific topics such as synthetic biology, circuit design and more! There will be a keynote presentation with the Faculty of Science’s Dean, Matina Kalcounis-Rueppell. Over $850 in cash awards will be given out. Awards will be given to the participant finishing in first place in each lab. Lab marks will be calculated based on the combination of both laboratory assignments along with each lab subject’s component of the Central Case. There are additional prizes awarded such as Most Interdisciplinary and Highest Kahoot Score. Hope to see you there!

The Computer Science Workshop (CSW) is an event hosted by TeamUP Science that allows participants to get a chance to learn computer science concepts during weekend sessions and apply these concepts into developing a python snake game (beginner) or developing graphic user interface (GUI) (intermediate/advanced). Participants will also get a chance to win prizes and awards as well as showcase their final project on the TeamUP Science website and social media platforms such as o...ur facebook and instagram pages.
