Happy Nunavat Day! On this day, Canada celebrates the birth of its youngest territory. On July 9, 1993, the Nunavut Land Claims Agreement was signed, giving the title to nearly 350,000sq. Km of land to the Inuit people. The inukshuk is an Inuit land marker constructed from five stones representing sacred places in the landscape #nunavatday #Canada
