February 13th Update We are happy to be able to advise that all visitors will be permitted to begin visiting the home on Tuesday February 16 when our district moves into the Green Zone after the lockdown ends. Please note that the guidelines for testing in place prior to lockdown will continue to be required. All visitors must be screened at the front entrance prior to visiting with their loved one. You must pass all screening g questions and have your temperature taken. Y...ou will be required to show proof of a negative Covid screen completed in the previous 2 weeks. As well we would like to advise that in the next few weeks the home will be implementing on site rapid antigen testing of all staff and visitors. This will mean all visitors will be required to have an on-site swab done each time they visit as mandated by the ministry of health and long term care and public health. This test takes approximately 20-30 minutes to process and visitors will be asked to not visit their loved one until the test result is confirmed. The home continues to work diligently following all the public health requirements for staff testing, infection control practices, cleaning and disinfecting, and mandatory use of personal protective equipment We all are so looking forward to seeing family members safely back in the home! Your loved ones have missed you! We appreciate everyone’s patience and understand, as well as your ongoing support as we do all we can to continue to do all we can to protect your loved ones and our staff!

Thank you to all the family members who have left us all words of encouragement, support and caring! We truly appreciate each and everyone of you! We will continue to follow all the public health directives, use personal protective supplies, be swabbed weekly, stay vigilant to monitor/assess for symptoms and work hard to protect and care for your loved ones! January 9th 2021: General Update: All the residents are doing well and no new cases of anyone with symptoms has been reported or observed today. Weekly staff swabbing will be Monday January 11th and Tuesday January 12th. We usually get results pretty quickly within 24 hours and will report those results as soon as they are known. ... Staff must be screened prior to starting their shifts by answering questions related to symptoms they may be experiencing, if anyone in their household is experiencing symptoms or if they have been in contact with anyone who has symptoms or has been tested for covid. As well temperature checks are completed on all staff prior to beginning their shifts - if staff do not pass screening - they are not permitted to come to work that day and must go have a swab and show negative results prior to being allowed to return to work. We continue to be on heightened surveillance, monitoring the residents for any symptoms and checking temperatures at least twice per day. The staff are experienced and trained to identify even the slightest symptoms and will take swift action to prevent any transmission. Any resident displaying any of the symptoms will be immediately isolated and swabbed. We continue to work closely with and have calls daily with the team at the Public Health unit to ensure every possible step is taken to protect our residents and will continue to do what's necessary to protect our residents! Please follow the Provincial Lockdown directives; we all must do our part to protect our community. This dedicated team will continue to stand together and put the residents first! Thank you to each and everyone of our amazing staff for being here for the residents, and their teammates! We thank you for your understanding and assure you that we are continuing to make decisions in the best interest of our residents and team members to ensure their health and safety, first. The health and safety of our residents, and the team members who serve them, is our highest priority! Please note that our email system remains down and our IT department is working hard to restore. If you have tried to email any member of our team, we will return your emails as soon as we have access again.
