Our hearts (and stockings) are so full after our telethon this weekend! We still can't believe this year's grand total was $241,034.34, beating our previous record in 2019 by over $35,000! This has been a unique and challenging year in a number of ways, but one thing that has remained steadfast is the support and strength of our community, with donations coming in from across the country! For 108 years The Empty Stocking Fund has brought people together with the spir...it of connection and fond memories, and this year was no exception, even if those connections were socially distant! We would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to our amazing community, sponsors, performers and volunteers, this was truly a joint effort! Despite Saint John being in an orange status, we are still going to be able to hold the telethon in support of 2167 children in need. The show will look much different with masks and social distancing and public health is very pleased with the many initiatives that have been put in place. Stage was set today by our amazing music director, Elaine Boulanger, who seems to do it all! Tomorrow Rogers set up, the phone banks get wired and all lighting and other technical things get prepared.....it promises to be a wonderful telethon and all performers, hosts and volunteers will be protected with masks, microphone cleaning etc Once again we have about 2400 children who need a little Christmas so tune in and be generous.

This year has been a challenging one, and with Covid-19 we extended our application period to 6 weeks. Our applications are now closed for 2020.
