All the fall vibes today. Happy first day of fall!

Fun fact, in my teenage years I spent a lot of time going to all the emo concerts. When I met Rob years later in college, I found out he did the same. We quickly bonded over music, and realized that we were at a lot of the same concerts. And not just the same ones, but in the same area in the mosh pit or in line getting concert shirts. It's weird to think we could have been standing right next to each other and not even realize it. I've met a lot of people throughout the year...s at concerts - it's weird that we never met. Our first time ever hanging out together outside of school, we went to an Atreyu concert, front and center in the mosh pit. Now 15 years later from those concert years, we've been together for almost 10 now, married for 3, and welcoming our baby soon. It's funny how life works sometimes. I wonder what would have happened if we met back then. Did we meet back then? Maybe briefly. Who knows really. Either way, I'm thankful for the detour because it led us to our life now. During this pregnancy, I've been asked a lot what are you craving? Truthfully, nothing specifically - just everything. I. am. hungry. always. Share some of your favorite meals with me - right now I'm loving turkey fajita tacos.

We recently spent time downtown - something we rarely do - and I have to say, I just don't get the scooter thing. The city scooters that are available, I mean it's great and all that people use them, but is there not a way to have certain drop off locations? Like scooter racks or something? Why is it that they can just be left anywhere - right beside an intersection, in the middle of a parking lot, taking up space in a beautiful greenery area. I just don't get it, it makes do...wntown look messy and just cluttered. Just like with everything in life, behavior is contagious. If you don't care about one thing, it gets passed along to other things in life. It no longer becomes, I'll just toss this scooter here, but I'll also toss my garbage beside it. It's like when people leave grocery carts all over the parking lot for no reason. Anyways haha sorry for the Friday rant - who wants a rant before a long weekend... we hope you guys have a wonderful long weekend!

What a fun evening yesterday! We got to do something we don't normally do - hang out in downtown Edmonton with just the best couple. Seriously - Courtnee and Scott are such gems, and put up with a lot of mine and Rob's ridiculousness last night (sorry guys ). We're always so thankful for this job - we get to meet the best people! I really love the change of seasons - each of them. The feel and smell of fall, the first snowfall, the snow melt, that first hot sunny day. Whenever the seasons change, it always feels like a fresh and exciting start. I especially love fall out at The Red Tin Barn, it is so beautiful out there, one of my favs for sure. As I go through some old photos, I'm finding it hard to believe that this was almost a year ago. As crazy as this year has been, one thing is for sure - it's going incredibly fast.

Fairy tales do exist

New engagement schedule is now online! October is a busy (so far) month for us, so there are limited appointments available at this time - this could change though, and more could be added later. October will also be the last month that we are doing sessions for a little while as we prepare to welcome our new little baby to the family in December. ... What does 2021 look like so far? This is a common question we're getting. As of right now - we are fully booked from May - August. BUT this is still changing! It's almost daily that we're opening emails to changing plans - and yes, changes for 2021 weddings too. We are still only taking a certain amount of weddings. We're not going to overbook ourselves, we're not going to take on more just to make up for what was lost, or because there's more demand for next year. The reason... for this is to ensure that we give the right attention to all of our clients. We're getting questions from couples that are newly engaged and starting to plan their wedding - what will 2021 look like? And to be honest, we can't answer that - no one can, and that's the truth. Our best advice is if you're starting to plan your day is be comfortable with change. Be understanding that things might be different than envisioned, and remember the true reason of why you're getting married.
