Our daughter joined Linda’s Dayhome 4 years ago. We are so grateful we had her in our lives for such a pivotal and influential time in our daughters childhood a...nd development. We quickly felt at ease leaving Isla in Linda’s care, knowing that she would be so well cared for. Linda works with parents to really get to know the child and the family values. She guides children to develop independence, confidence and reliance. She keeps the lines of communication open so that parents are involved and connected in the care. Linda makes every child in her care feel valued, important and special. She connects with each child individually. She understood my daughter’s love of dance and music and used that to keep her engaged. She takes the time to work on the skills the children need to develop and advance. She incorporates learning into their play and introduces the skills they will need for kindergarten. She balances the need for structured activities such as circle time, with free play, creativity and imagination. She takes the time to create anticipation and celebrate holidays and special occasions, such as Christmas and birthday celebrations. She plans different daily activities for the kids to look forward to such as book days, show and tell, and silly hat days. She has a secured back yard for the kids to play in and values time outdoors. She includes them in planting and gardening and instils that love and passion in the children. I know her love of nature (and I hope her green thumb) has rubbed off into my daughter. She has endless patience and is an expert at redirection. She somehow manages to keep everything organized, running smoothly and loads of fun. She fosters a sense of community among the children in her care. It was so neat to see our daughter transition from the little girl looking up to the older children, to one of the older children guiding and supporting the younger children. We were with Linda during the beginning of the pandemic and she navigated the changes and protocols and monitoring with ease. She remained a comfort and source of safety during such a turbulent time. We’ve left Linda’s Dayhome for the sole reason of needing before and after kindergarten transportation in our school area. I valued that our daughter’s day wasn’t broken up for school drop offs/pick ups of school-age children. We knew that eventually the time would come when we would need transportation to school. Linda genuinely loves our daughter, and us her. Our daughter is no longer in her care, but she will remain a part of our daughter’s life. We highly recommend Linda for your childcare needs.
