Now what? What do you do when you're blocked, when you're having that inner dialogue between you and the blank canvas? So many thoughts and plans, so why is that empty canvas punching you in the gut?

This tiny 4" x 4" was sold practically before I could sign it! 'Ancient Artifact?!' So much meaning behind this one tiny object.

Work in Progress - actually working on it for a few years now, but she's back on the easel. Gertrude, aka Gee-Gee was kind enough to let me take a quick photo of her as she walked into the gallery. We had a wee chat and I knew I was going to paint her! I was so taken by her energy, her disposition, her kindness and willingness to have a total stranger snap a photo. (Swipe to see the photo.) I have to say, though, it took everything in these introverted bones to ask her permission, and almost didn't. Thank goodness. I love a good story. This university professor, trailblazer is an inspiration. I am so honoured to have met her and to paint her. Perhaps she'll even see it finished.
