Wowza #itsterotuesday for the first time in 2021. This is what most of my holiday break looked like I'd been reading the same novel for 8 months because I never made the time to read for myself. I love to escape in a good story but I have a habit of burying myself in my work (especially when I'm stressed). You can imagine that 2020 was a very busy work year for me because of that. But in the week after Christmas, I forced myself to just sloooooow down. To spend... some time relaxing and recharging. Laying on this chair and reading a good book. I finished that dang novel and I started a new one which I've been cruising through. It took me a couple days to feel like it was okay to relax and what I did, I just couldn't stop! And I feel so friggin' refreshed and ready for the new year. Anyways, there's a story you didn't ask for. Thank you for kicking off the new year with me. My baby sister got me a gratitude journal and I've made a new habit of starting the day off by writing three things I'm grateful forany three things at all. It has been such a refreshing way to start the day so if you're looking to switch up your morning routine (or like me, wanting to create one), I highly recommend kicking off the day with some gratitude!
