Human Rights Day is observed every year on 10 December the day the United Nations General Assembly adopted, in 1948, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights... (UDHR). The UDHR is a milestone document that proclaims the inalienable rights which everyone is entitled to as a human being - regardless of race, colour, religion, sex, language, political or other opinion, national or social origin, property, birth or other status. Where, after all, do universal human rights begin? In small places, close to home -- so close and so small that they cannot be seen on any maps of the world. [...] Unless these rights have meaning there, they have little meaning anywhere. Without concerted citizen action to uphold them close to home, we shall look in vain for progress in the larger world." Eleanor Roosevelt

The 2020 Holiday break is approaching. We have had many challenges this year, but also many things to celebrate. The holidays can be a time to reset, connect wi...th people we love and have a MUCH deserved break. For some of us, it can be a challenging time as well. It is important to manage holiday stress, focus on the positive and engage in healthy activities for our mental health and well-being.
