Paddling on waters in Terra Nova National Park is nothing new!

Glovertown RCMP partners with Parks Canada for speed enforcement initiative in Terra Nova National Park. On Friday, November 13, 2020, Glovertown RCMP partnered... with Parks Canada and conducted a speed enforcement initiative in Terra Nova National Park. In just over two hours, police and park wardens issued 26 summary offence tickets to speeding and aggressive drivers. Did you know that Parks Canada Wardens are also Federal Peace Officers and have the authority to stop violating motorists and can issues summary offence tickets under the NL Highway Traffic Act? Failure to stop for a park warden is the same as failing to stop for the police. The RCMP will continue to participate in initiatives with partners like Parks Canada to keep our roadways and communities safe.
