We carry the Gardasil 9 (HPV - Human Papilloma Virus) vaccine at our clinic. Since 2007, the Ontario government has provided the Gardasil vaccine to students in grade 7. Many individuals who did not go to school locally or already graduated school before this program began may have missed the opportunity for protection.... Did you know? - Without immunization, three out of four sexually active Canadians will get HPV in their lifetime - Both men and women benefit from the vaccine, since HPV infection may lead to cervical, vaginal, vulvar, penile and anal cancers in addition to genital warts - The 3-dose vaccine can provide up to 90% protection against nine types of HPV infection - Women should continue with regular Pap tests, even after receiving HPV vaccine.
