Public skating for all @ 4:45 to 5:50PM on Wednesdays & @ 9 to 11 am on Fridays & on Sundays @ 1 to 1:50 PM. All proceeds from Public Skating events go to Friends of the Arena (FOTA) to help get & keep our rink in good shape. Please be generous. Thanks!

Last boat ride of the season

We have several weeks available in both cottages for the month of September. Lots of good fishing and boating to be had at beautiful Sand Lake. It is lovely here in the early fall, peaceful and soul inspiring. Book your week of relaxation.

Best way to see the lake!

One of our guests rescued this little fawn from our lake and reunited it with its mama! We knew we had the best customers but this just proves it!

As I write this I am cooking a big turkey with all the trimmings and waiting for my family to join us for an early celebration. As is the custom we are joining our daughters in Hamilton for our traditional Christmas but seem to manage several other festivities before the 25th. We have had a lovely blanket of snow making the lake a fluffy surface with the mountain forming a most beautiful back drop. How I love our little spot on Sand Lake and I thank all our lovely patrons w...ho have added to the joyful experience of living here. It is quiet and peaceful now, no children laughing and and scrambling for the raft, no fishermen telling stories over a cold beer and no camp fires crackling. Never-the-less it is a place of tranquility and comfort that gives me such peace of mind. I hope all who are reading this are feeling the same sense of wonderment, the abundance of gratitude and the hope and excitement for a new year. May all of you share a beautiful Christmas Season. Just about ready for the summer! Were all booked up until September but have a few spots left after labour day.

Not quite cottage weather yet. Hard to believe its the middle of April!!

We are in the middle of a snowy blizzard today. No better time to post information and invitations to book a cottage. Maybe a view of our facebook pictures and posts may bring summer a little sooner at least in our minds. We are booking for the summer of 2018 and as usual, July is popular with previous guests.Get in quickly with your requests to avoid disappointment. We have our lovely 3 bedroom cottage which rents for $1000/weekly and our two bedroom that goes for $850..../weekly. Both are beautiful, roomy cottages, right on the lake, that offer spectacular views, wonderful fishing and lots of leisure activities. We are situated on Sand Lake on the outskirts of Westport, a town that boasts great golf, hiking opportunities, scrumptious restaurants, excellent shopping, a spectacular winery, museum, bakery, ice cream shop, liquor/beer store and a fabulous grocery store that caters very well to vacationers. We are well set up for families, seniors, fisherman or special groups. We have kayaks, a fishing row boat, badminton,WIFI, satellite TV, BBQs and all amenities one would hope for. We supply linens, beds are made up and ready on your arrival. We are pet friendly but dogs must be on a leash.
