Tex-Can Dog Rescue 24.02.2021

********EDIT******** Posted this comment and marked her as sold a few days ago but I'm still getting people trying to add me as a friend and message me so here ...it is again. Violet is on her way to her new and loving home. She will get to be on an acreage where she can roam, and root up the ground to her heart's content. Thank you so much to everyone who commented, liked and shared this ad. We love her dearly and are well aware of how adorable she is but had no idea she would be so popular. Thank you all so much. ******************************************** Violet is a black potbelly pig. She is completely house trained, good with animals and kids. It breaks my heart to re home her but she doesn’t get the attention she deserves in our house since me and my wife work a lot. She is 2 years old. Not vaccinated and not spayed. Extremely loving but can be a drama pig. Trained to sit, loves belly rubs and trained to go to the bathroom outside. Looking for her forever home

For those people that ooohhh and ahhhhh and make cute comments under photos of puppies for sale on the online garage sale ads. You know, the ones that get sold ...too young, without vaccinations, by some backyard "breeder" trying to make a buck. Well, here is a glimpse into the last few minutes of a shelter dog. His time ran out. He was sweet too. But no one came for him. He was maybe a garage sale give away, or maybe a cute puppy that grew out of his novelty, or someone moved, or had kids....yadda, yadda, yadda.... I've heard all of it. All the dogs I have as my own are someone's cast offs. They are my best friends that I wouldn't trade for any riches. I can't rescue enough to even make a dent. Yet people still don't get it. They don't want to, they don't care, or just think it's not their problem. So, it's our problem. The shelter workers, the rescuers, the advocates. The ones who live this emotional torture every hour of the day. 10,000 dogs will have lost their precious lives at the end of this day. And again tomorrow. And each day after. Sorry folks, buying a puppy for $500-2000 is not cool like you think it is. Pet stores are unacceptable. Puppy mills are barbaric. Backyard breeders are tacky. If you want more info about adoption, please ask. We are happy to help. In any way. Spay. Neuter. Adopt. Volunteer. Donate. I'm asking everyone to fill up the comments below with photos of your rescue dog. Go! See more
