Complete Guide to 2021 Artist Grants & Opportunities New grants, such as our own Artwork Archive Art Business Accelerator Grant, have formed in response to the needs of artists affected by COVID-19. Grants remain steady as a way for artists to supplement their income to ease the financial burden that often comes as part of being a working artistespecially over the last year. These grants listed help artists pay for materials, studio space, or even their rent, allowing artists to sustain themselves and their art practices during this difficult time. https://www.artworkarchive.com//complete-guide-to-2021-art

Congratulations Nicholas Simons, MLA for Powell River-Sunshine Coast
Many small businesses just lost their season, while the big box stores will prosper. Keep it local. Buy a gift certificate. Call and ask if the store can do pr...ivate and scheduled shopping. One of my farm workers this summer donated her earnings to her dance instructor, who’s studio is shut down! And if you don’t have the funds, you can still do the things on the list. Every moment will count!! We need those small stores when we come out the other side. We need to support them now.
After CERB: Transitioning to new benefits The Government of Canada announced changes to the Employment Insurance (EI) program and new recovery benefits that will better support Canadians.
We're all tired of COVID. Protecting frontline workers means caring about our neighbours. Staff are exposed to far more people than you are, for hours at a time, day-after-day. For the few minutes that you're getting business services, please wear a mask. If you're mad or think masks are dumb, express your concerns to the Provincial Health Officer or politicians. People at the cash register had no part in setting these rules. Seat belts, life jackets, and 2nd-hand smoke laws were considered not cool in the past but, over time, we accepted the science that they better protect us from harm. Mask-wearing might be similar. Wishing you wellness.
