There's something about the water that calls to me... I often think of myself as putting down roots whenever I move to a new place. Normally I imagine myself as a terrestrial creature, but this time I think I am a pond weed

It's okay to not be okay There is no correct way to forest bathe. Some days you might be all about getting in the dirt and being the valiant eco adventurer. Other days, forest bathing might just be looking out the window with your cup of tea. You're allowed to cry for (apparently) no reason. And it's okay if your self care isn't enough to stave off the tears. Sometimes crying is part of self care. It's all allowed

How did starting school become even more stressful?? Just in case any families or educators might find this useful, I wanted to share the lesson plans I created last year for urban outdoor education. I called it Urban Forest Kids, and had originally planned on it being a one week day camp. It works just as well as isolated learning activities, and since it is all designed to be outside you could even do the activities in small groups. Most don't require a ton of planning or r...esources, and all of the lesson plans are free. I figure if we can get kids socializing, touching green things, staying curious, and growing in kindness, then we're giving them meaningful education.
