Attention first year nursing students! The TFNSA is running an outdoor Clinical ID Badge Photoshoot so you can connect with your fellow students and check off your clinical ID picture! The event will take place at the Trent Symons Campus. If you would like the photo to work for your ID badge, you must show up in your scrub top but it is not required to attend (you can come for a fun photo shoot either way). The TFNSA asks you to fill out the survey (link provided below) to help us understand what days work best for students. We have five committees you can apply for: (1) appeals, (2) awards, (3) curriculum & evaluation, (4) policy, and (5) research, ethics, & scholarly activities. These are prestigious positions where you will gain invaluable experience through voicing your opinion and providing input on how we can im...prove our program. The Awards and Bursaries are now available on the TFSON Intranet. Bursaries are for students in financial need. Fall bursary application opened September 10, 2020, and the deadline is Sept 30, 2020 at 11:59 pm. The highest dollar value for Awards based on merit is $2500 and the applications close November 10, 2020 at 11:59 pm. Winter bursary applications open January 6, and the deadline is January 3. Students must be receiving OSAP. Eligibility for bursaries is based on pro...ven financial need and satisfactory academic standing. Students must be in receipt of OSAP or another province’s student financial aid program to be eligible for a Trent University bursary. To apply for bursaries, log in to myTrent, click on ‘My Account’ and look under ‘Financial Aid’. There will be application available each term. Please note there is only one application. Students need only apply once per term and will be considered for all bursaries based on eligibility requirements specific to that award.
