Really unexpectedly good Thai restaurant. This place has been on my "to try" list for a while now but the exterior just felt underwhelming and the prices weren't crazy cheap enough to justify me driving there just for takeout. I happened to be in the area for lunch so I thought I would give it a try today and damn, I wish I tried it earlier. There aren't many great pad thai places in the GTA. A lot of places will have pad thai and it's mushy and made in a rush (ahem, Thai Exp...ress), or places like Pai will serve it for about $17 per plate. At Thai 5, the prices are as cheap as Thai Express (or even cheaper, IDK if Thai Express's prices have gone up the past few years), but as good as, if not better, than higher end Thai restaurants. The noodles are al dente (not a pile of mush), and very flavourful. The only con was how long you have to wait to pick up your food (about 15 minutes?). I know that means its made fresh which is great but just a reminder to people to maybe call beforehand so it's ready to pick up when you arrive. Joey c. See more
Happy Valentines Day! ( To all Durian Lover! )
For a food court Thai food counter, this place is top notch. The proudly display the Thai Ambassador award/stamp of approval that this is authentic Thai food. It is a food court venue, so bear that in mind. There ain't no candles or tablecloths. Few places in the GTA offer Pad Kraw Prow and I've been looking. This one does a very decent job and I'm giving it 5 stars based on value for the money and tasting delicious with the limitations of a food court counter venue in consideration. (ie. my 5 stars reviews for a sitdown venue is equivalent as the 5 stars I'm giving here). One of the best food court meals I've had. Everyone working in this area who loves Thai food should come check this place out at the very least. It is now one of my go-to lunches during the week Henry Chen
Really amazing food.... However I went around 11:30 am and spent almost an hour waiting for 1 dish and an iced tea. My advice would be to call in and order to prevent a long wait like I did. C.I.
11/8/2019 AL H. Nice little Thai restaurant. This is in a food court so don't expect it to be fancy. I have only tried the pad Thai here and both me and my wife love it. The customer service is great and the lady at the front is extremely polite and friendly! Highly recommend this place for a quick bite or for take out.
9/2/2019 We tried this place on a whim and my partner is a Thai food addict so we had to try their Pad Thai. So glad we did!!! The best Pad Thai we've had in the longest time. They are not afraid to use their spices, so the dish had the most amazing kick, taste and flavour. I'm not the biggest spice eater but it was delicious even though I was in pain. The heat creeps up on you and heats up your whole body. Good balance between noodles and chicken/veggies/toppings. They don't water anything down so it's definitely authentic .-cin.c
A small cafe in the food court run by a lovely couple serving authentic Thai dishes for a very reasonable price. You can taste the chef's love for his food. If you can't make up your mind what to order, talk to the lady at the cashier. She would be delighted to help you make the choices with the right level of spices that would suit your palates! -Busy Bee
What a great piece of work! Picasso(Antibe,France)
Bonjours! La baie des Anges.
Heavenly is the only way to describe this classic Thai dessert
