Today is the anniversary of the 1942 Dieppe Raid. Of the 4,963 Canadians who took part in the operation, only 2,210 returned to England, 1,946 were taken prison...er by Nazi Germany, and 916 Canadian’s lost their lives. Following the conflict, a cemetery was created in Dieppe called the ‘Dieppe Canadian War Cemetery’.
