I don't usually review things on my instagram but when these two beautiful people make you feel like family as soon as you walk in their door (AND make the most amazing food) you can't help but tell others about it. Truly being new to a country can make you feel alone at times. As soon as I stepped into @arepaguys it was like a reunion of a family not strangers meeting for the first time. Thank you so so much for making me feel so loved, welcome and truly at home. . Now abou...t the #arepas for the true #venezuelanexperience you have to go here. I am happily full every time I eat here. The ingredients are so fresh and hearty. I have to be careful not to eat so fast here because I can wolf it down! It's THAT good. I never got to post this photoshoot of my outfit and everyone who has seen it loves it. I truly love yellow and this combo. It's actually #swimwear and no this is not an ad, #torrid swimwear for me personally is the best I have worn. I feel supported AND I feel gorgeous in it. I have swam in this multiple times, paraded beaches in it and done a couple photoshoots wearing it. It's still good! I'm not a model persay but I did this photoshoot as a milestone in my life. Well I don't scrub up too bad eh? I normally don't wear #makeup though, day to day and thats OK too! I used to use makeup as a mask or a shield when I was younger because I only felt like I was enough or pretty enough with it on. Now when I put makeup on its more to be creative and express myself when I fancy it, not as a chore or task. Well lets face it you wont be seeing any colours in canada except the white stuff anytime soon. Well its #familyday here in Canada and I can't be with them in person but I love my Mum and my sis so much! I'm so #grateful for strong women in my family who have taught me so much. This is a true experience I had in fall last year and wanted to write about it for a while. I was on the way to photograph a family I adore and we have done several shoots together now. On the journey it became so foggy, enough so that I panicked if we would be able to shoot. I called my client and said "is it foggy where you are?" expecting it was. She assured me, no Becky it's really beautiful and sunny over here. I was scratching my head wondering why it was so foggy where... I was. I likened it to anxiety and depression. The fear is real, it really is there in fill force, it clouds your perception and blocks your view. You can't see the road ahead and its scary. Had I not called my client to check I could have easily been ready to throw in the towel so to speak. I knew this was an important lesson to me. The moment I pondered this almost instantly the fog dissapeared and the road became gorgeous, sunny and all the fall colours popped out. It was truly a gorgeous vision to behold. Such clarity, light and truth. I needed this reminder. I am so thankful for it. #lessonstoliveby there is always a light at the end of the tunnel and there is sunshine waiting to come into your life again. It may not be easy or immediate but it WILL return. See more

Happy Birthday to me - This is the theme for me this year. 35 is here and I obviously am struggling with my purpose at the minute but seeing this today at @stacktmarket was just what I needed. To #keepgoing and #notgiveup I wish #anxiety wasnt eating me up right now and making me panic all the time. I also have been in the hospital recently. I havnt barely told anyone because believe it or not I'm pretty private AND dont want to seem like a complete failure. I will keep going though, I can promise you that. I have really enjoyed my time @thecurvycon and wont ever forget it. It's a rare opportunity which I don't take for granted. The panel discussions with @themilitantbaker and @bodyposipanda to name a couple have got me to the core and made me feel emotional because I felt understood and not alone anymore. I also thought of my Dad and how he encouraged me to come to New York years ago. I let fear stop me and I finally got here. That combination of having #anxiety before the eve...nt, coming here and learning more about myself and my capabilities and also that so many others have personal battles and struggles.
