Hello everyone, we haven't had many posts on our page lately .We have been busy taking care of my elderly parents. And will now have a chance to do more First Acadian things soon. Covid sure has slowed the process as far as Govt. it is really hard to get something like St. Laurent Parish site confirmed ,at least we found it., We have found many more First Acadian sites most is on private land and the owners say don't tell ., it makes hard. What makes it good to find thes...e sites is the British maps even surveys they did along the river at Port Royal, they are very accurate ,the river has changed very little. There is also a French map by De la Batte that helps us. We know that our ancestors are buried around the Court House next to Fort Anne at Annapolis Royal. There is more unmarked graves in the town too. We dowse for the unmarked graves , we realize some don't understand this , but I say freely where our ancestors are , hoping someone will challenge us ,I feel this is a gift , I can also dowse a structure even if there is no sign of it [no rock foundation, this really helps ,when the land has been farmed and the foundation rocks gone . The first Acadian homes most of the time have a small porch 4x4,,5x5 feet and this sounds funny but rule of thumb an outhouse about12 feet from the porch, this seems close but remember in winter you would have to shovel a path .The toilets we have found sizes are 3x5 feet some are as big as 3x7 feet , haven't found the standard small 3x3 feet single toilet yet. This sounds weird but only grass ,small twigs ,briers , NO LARGE TREES grow on our Ancestors house site [ever], someone tell me why? Our little business " The Acadian Peasant " is something we take seriously ,we hardly make any money at this ,we may have sold 10 of the Acadian crosses this year . Our heart is into this and we are not going to stop soon. thank you Charlie and Jennifer Thibodeau See more

Just received these pictures in the mail today from Idaho , from our Friend Donald Arceneaux, from Sept 2019. Here at Pre Ronde and then we went to Pre Jean former land , and Broussard;s former land . [Port Royal]. The flag in the picture is in Idaho. We hope Donald will get up here again someday , we will do more Acadieology. Thank you for the pictures Donald.

Here's an item from the latest issue of the Annapolis Royal Town Crier that will be of interest.
