Good Morning Everyone I am asking each of us to pray todayin our own way, and with our own words.for peace. Many of us are thinking about the American inaugur...ation today. I expect it is evoking many images, ponderings and opinions. Some of you are aware of my love of History; if you are interested in American History I highly recommend Shelby Foote: The Civil War One part of the book describes a Post Civil War Abraham Lincoln. He had been re elected, and was facing the task of rebuilding a wounded, angry and defeated country. I have always remembered these words from Lincoln's 2nd inaugural address March 4,1865. Lincoln Died on April 15,1865. I do hope it builds something blessed in your hearts for today.With malice toward none, with charity for all, with firmness in the right as God gives us to see the right, let us strive on to finish the work we are in, to bind up the nation’s wounds, to care for him who shall have borne the battle and for his widow and orphan, to do all which may achieve and cherish a just and lasting peace among ourselves and with all nations.
