Hi guys Heres something I havent posted about yet. Have you seen our new outdoor kennels we got set up this summer? They are AWESOME. While we were doing just fine with the arena, walks and lots of play time, these outdoor kennels are a game changer. Its so nice on a beautiful day for your pup to be able to hang out outside, play with others (if they wish), chew on some bones and just all around enjoy the fresh air Now we can use the arena for some good running, fetch, rainy/snowy days, training, etc. BUT now we can also enjoy the outdoors with your pooch (besides just walks) without leashes. Its such a win win for everyone. Believe me when I say the pups are pooped heading back into their personal indoor kennels after some solid fresh air and exercise

Happy Friday from a few buddies here at The Barking Lot! I often get questions about the size of the kennels we have here and how many dogs can comfortably fit in one. Heres our German Shepherd, her almost 4 month old pup, & their bestest bud George the golden retriever! After a long afternoon of playing they all had a nap together in the kennel with plenty of room to lay comfortably. Of course, how many dogs you would want to put into one kennel is totally dependant on wh...at you (and your pups) feel comfortable with from your experience with their temperaments together at home (only dogs from the same household are allowed to be kennelled together - this eliminates any possible accidents from occurring). When it comes to size of the kennels though, we have had 2 large mastiffs and other large breeds kennel together no problem! And for your small pooches, well we could fit lots together Kennelling your dogs separate or together is completely your choice, if you feel more comfortable with them separate, thats something we can definitely do, and if they are a little dependant on each other and feel better together, we are more than happy to make that happen as well. The goal is to make your dogs stay as comfortable as possible (and easing the mind of the owners too)! Marg is one of ten puppies Jo had back in May, and she was the lucky pup that went to my parents! I have to admit, these are a couple spoiled dogs - @munzmedia

This is one of the less fun posts I get to put on but is necessary! The cancellation policy is in place for all services (grooming & kenneling - day or night), the late policy is more so for grooming appointments. 1 O N E Y E A R All I can say is WOW! Thank you thank you thank you, a million times over to every single one of you for all the support. I appreciate every single pooch we get to love and care for and I appreciate the owners just as much. Without all of you it wouldnt be possible to work such a dream job I have learned so much over the last year, and I still have so much to learn, but I look forward to whatever the future has to offer AND, I must say, standing back... and looking at what weve created in a years time, I am pretty dang proud of the business thats grown and everything created. I could post 1000 pictures of everyones pooches that I get the pleasure of seeing on a daily basis for #nationaldogday, but Ill keep it simple this time Here is Jo & Margo! For anyone that doesnt know, Jolene recently had a big litter of 10 healthy German Shepherds! They have all since left to their new homes AND we were so excited that my parents decided to take one for themselves Margo has stolen their hearts (& ours) just like Jo did for us, now none of us could i...magine life without either of them! With that being said, how lucky am I that each and every day I get to work with and care for everyones pups. You really dont understand how deep the love for a dog can go until you have one of your own & they become a member of your family Thats why here we treat everyones fur family member like one of our own, & wouldnt change it for the world! It’s almost the long weekend & we are excited! Here’s some pooches coming in for desheds/cuts so they look cute in their fall pictures

Dont mind my wonderful camera skills BUT we officially have a separate entrance to the kennel/arena Theres more work to be done & its not all cleaned up but Ive had a few questions about if its able to start being used and the answer is YES. To some people this isnt a big thing but to me its my vision of the inside of the kennel, and all the outdoor landscaping all coming together. Still work to be done but we are getting there and I couldnt be more excited! HUGE thank you to everyone who has pitched in this far, none of this dream would be possible without everyones help. Weve added a few more cameras at the kennel, so now we can see your pooches from all angles In all seriousness though, these cameras are such a nice safety feature so we can see what the dogs are doing no matter where we have them, along with seeing any activity happening in the yard at all times so that your dogs safety is ALWAYS the #1 priority. Lots of new projects happening at the kennel and although its a bit of a gong-show these days I am so excited for you all to see the improvements we are working on! Heres a couple snaps of these pooches from their walks Friday! What a toasty day, so we kept in spots where grass was right beside so their paws wouldnt get crazy hot Thanks to Riley for volunteering to help walk some pooches when we need, hes so good to the dogs and enjoys every one of them!

For anyone wondering how some of the pups play in the arena together even though we were only 10 feet away in the groom room, having this live video with sound up is such an added safety feature so everyone gets ample play time!

Pressure wash day today! Although we regularly sanitize all kennels (and the whole building for that matter) every so often we pull everything out, and pressure wash/sanitize from top to bottom! Another thing to keep everyone & their fur babies safe & happy!

Jewel offered to help me with some paperwork today after her groom while waiting for her owners to come get her

Pink for Nala & blue for Blu These 2 gals were in for a spring deshed yesterday & we had so much fun with them!

Did you know that The Barking Lot is monitored by cameras!? This is another feature that we decided to install for not only our safety but for your pups! This system is set up so that we can not only see activity coming in & out of the kennel day or not, but so we can also monitor your pet while playing throughout the day! Our front door is locked regularly with a keypad entry, so that only authorized people are able to enter, but ontop of that with the cameras monitoring who... is coming in & out, it is extra peace of mind know that your pet is safe where they should be! As well as arena kennels - this is something I decided to have installed so that your dogs play time could be maximized while kept safe! Between grooming, walking pups & all the daily chores and activities needing done sometimes playtime gets tough without making sure someone is physically standing there watching them. This is where the cameras are a breath of fresh air! Now we can be watching them at all times to make sure everyone is good & having fun, even if we are only 10 feet away cleaning or grooming in the kennel! We are so excited about this feature and we hope you are too as our #1 priority is everyones safety here!
